The first website was a simple page with text and hyperlinks, and its address was http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html. The first website was part of a larger project called the World Wide Web, which aimed to make the internet more user-friendly and accessible to everyone.

Do you do that the first website went live on August 6, 1991, and was created by Tim BernersLee.The first website was hosted on a NeXT computer at CERN, the European physics research center in   Switzerland.

In 1994, the first web browser for the general public, Mosaic, was released. Mosaic was significantly more user-friendly than WorldWideWeb, and it helped to make the web more accessible to the general public. In 1995, the first e-commerce website went online, and it was called the Internet Shopping Network.
